The ‘Colorful Design’ allows to assemble a colorful living room decor. The design is a direct response to the artworks of two contemporary New Zealand artists. The two artworks are ‘Motumahanga Square Quartet’ and ‘Coastal Clothesline’. Both scenes a present day rural New Zealand
Michael Smither uses bold block colors to bring the island of Motumahanga into focus. The quartet offers time captures of four different views at four different times of the day.
Fiona Whyte on the other hand has a very different style. She is able to capture the blowing of the wind, the glistening of the sun and the vibrancy of the colors in the sun. The painting carries one into experiencing a beautiful summers day at the coast.
