The Black and White Bath Art series emerged after a visit from a family member. During this precious family reunion, we experienced a time filled with love, joy, and laughter, as well as exciting new experiences on the beautiful beaches of New Zealand’s west coast.

In this series of three surfing wall art pieces, inspiration finds expression in remembrance of our holiday highlight. Our family took surfing lessons on one of Auckland’s west coast beaches. As a result, two sets of panels took shape: one set of three and one set of two. Each panel also hangs beautifully on its own and can be customized with text. The three panels tell the story of surfing, from evaluating the surf and paddling out at sunset to riding the wave to shore. The next two mood boards portray paddling out and riding the wave toward the shore. They can also be arranged into a set of two.

Lastly, here are two motivational posters that encourage you to reinvent yourself. Both display written encouragement alongside an image that conveys the message. The idea for this message came from observing a monarch butterfly pair lay eggs, which then became caterpillars that transmuted into chrysalises. A round frame highlights the chrysalis, which will eventually hatch into a beautiful monarch butterfly. The layout makes a strong symbol of transformation. The photo is ultimately a placeholder, and the poster layout allows for personalization of the image and text.

Overall, a creative burst inspired by New Zealand, and the fun activities enjoyed on the beach, at the coast, and in the woods followed our family vacation.
